HTML // //		HTML (favorite!) see description A stand-alone, self-installing program, this is the best download format for searching the text. This download comes with its own search engine with search results you can browse. The results include a portion of the paragraph where the word is found so you can see the context. This download also requires no other software aside from the browser you are using to view this web page. Like the online version of the book, this download has links from each footnote to the appropriate reference section. The type can be resized by resizing the type in your browser, as you would for web surfing. This version does not have bookmarking or note taking supported. Click the HTML computer to download. The file size is 2.59MB, and includes a couple of audio clips from Dr. Blomquist's jazz album. // // //
PDF		PDF If you want to download the PDF file, you may need to "Right-Click" on the computer graphic to the left, and select "Save Target As". This download requires the Acrobat Reader program (download available below). This is different from the Acrobat ebook reader which is no longer being made available by Adobe. The Acrobat Reader has a find utility only, which means that you do not get the search utility found in the HTML Download. This is the best version if you need very large type to read. Note taking in this version is disabled even with the newest 6.0 Reader. This PDF download supports bookmarks so you can have an eveready linked index available. If you would like to have the newest Acrobat Reader, click on the link at the bottom of the page. Click the PDF computer to download the PDF version of this book. The file size is 1.79MB //
Microsoft Reader // //		Microsoft Reader Requires the Microsoft Reader program (download below). The Microsoft Reader has a find utility only, which means that you do not get the search utility found in the HTML Download. You can resize the type, but if you need larger type I'd recommend the Acrobat Reader Download. You can take notes in the margins, and bookmark pages. This version has a Table of Contents that serves as a sitemap (or bookmap) with links that go virtually anywhere in the book, But this reader has no browser functions, so when you've followed a link within the book, even though I've placed a link to the Table of Contents at the beginning of each section, it is sometimes cumbersome to return to where you were. If you need a better look at some detailed graphics in the narrow reader, you can simply click on the graphic and be taken to a higher quality online version of that graphic. Click the Microsoft Reader computer to download. The file size is 1.41MB. // // //
Microsoft Word 97/2000		Microsoft Word 97/2000 This version requires that you have Microsoft Word 97 or 2000. You can also use the Microsoft Viewer 97 available for download below. This version has the edit functions locked out, so you don't need to worry about inadvertently changing the text or formatting. It has the Table of Contents as a sitemap (or bookmap). You can take notes in the margin; a paragraph on the second page will tell you how. It has the ability to zoom, to make the type or graphics larger. If you have Word 2000, there is a browser toolbar available (not available in Word Viewer 97) that makes navigating a snap. The footnotes are each linked to the appropriate reference section. 	The Acrobat Ebook Reader is no longer available for download. If you still have an old copy, you may want to keep it. The link to your left will take you to the Acrobat Reader Download page where you can download the newest Acrobat Reader that works not only as a regular PDF Reader, but also as the Acrobat Ebook Reader.
	Click here to download the Microsoft Word 97/2000 Viewer. Please note that this viewer does not allow you to edit a Microsoft Word document. As the name implies, it is merely a viewer. You will also want to download a security patch for the new Microsoft Word Viewer.
